There is something to love about Sheraton Bandung. And as I have mentioned in earlier posts, I love it's resort and colonial feel, which echoes Bandung itself. Art deco motifs in the lobby furniture and its overall architecture that goes against the usual luxury hotel high rise, interesting interiors that is rich in detail in the more public spaces, the beautiful morning light at the Towers Lounge, and the cozy and comfort in the rooms and suites. Staying at Sheraton Bandung is memorable. And after the end of the day, when you come back to the hotel from a city tour, it's your room that gives you much needed rest. One thing that I like about Sheraton Bandung is the colonial era hotel vibe that it exudes, a vibe that is representative of the city itself. It doesn't have the alienating contemporary design feel that most massive and towering luxury hotels have that overwhelms you with their cavernous lobbies.
