Bellevue Resort’s Lamian World Cuisine Restaurant
The Bellevue Resort in Panglao Bohol has a beautiful restaurant and its named Lamian World Cuisine. Lamian, in Cebuano means deliciousness. And why not, when one can enjoy a sumptuous buffet and ala carte meals while on vacation:
Indulge all your senses in the culinary delights of Lamian. Sample a variety of international Cuisine in our buffet and satisfy your palette with the savory treats from our Italian corner. Lamian presents tempting traditional Filipino and international fare using the best ingredients the region has to offer. Indoor and outdoor dining is provided in this welcoming yet sophisticated space. The outdoor and poolside Ala carte menu serves gourmet sandwiches and pizzas, refreshing shakes and other beverages.
But other than the great food, Lamian restaurant is interesting as it showcases Philippine indigenous materials and weaves, wood and furniture. From the banig (native woven mat) ceiling found at the private dining area as well as sections in the main restaurant, to capiz shell sliding doors, it proudly features Philippine traditional and contemporary handicraft.
The design is modern/contemporary but look into the details and you’ll be surprised. Above the buffet table are callado motifs, transom ventilation devices that are usually found in old houses in Bohol. Look behind your comfy seat and a couple of native shells are tied to the metal wiring. Go closer the big quadrilateral posts and admire the small figurines.
Outside, al fresco dining is possible and to minimize the heat, wooden brise soleil are installed atop.
