Eclectic mix of restaurant chairs at Thai Me Up
Thai Me Up in Cagayan de Oro City is the first restaurant to offer exclusive Thai cuisine in this fast developing city. When the main branch opened in 2009, city denizens were in for a suprise.
Other than the good Thai comfort food that Thai Me Up offers is the interesting interior design of the space. There are lots of homey trinkets and stuff, antiques as well as details that make eating at this restaurant an experience in itself.
One thing that a visitor can readily observe are the different types of chairs assembled. A table can have as much as six different chair designs! There are old and new ones. Chairs from old houses that find new life here. Remember those 50s houses in one’s neighborhood in the province? There’s a couple of it spread at different areas. For children, there’s even a wooden horse!
The chairs did got my fancy and seeing something old and familiar, interesting and unique, bold and minimalist and something intricate made my visit an affair to remember.
