Puerto Princesa in Palawan is booming and the hotel and resorts sector is in a flux as more and more bed spaces are being added. One of the newer hotels, the first boutique hotel in the city to be precise opened its doors last year and it’s a beautiful property with modern yet cozy, at the same time, hip interiors by no less than Edwin Uy Architecture.
The rooms are perfect for a staycation and cocooning. Or a comfy personal space after all those day trips around the islands and the city. Immaculate white washed walls provide a stark backdrop to the colorful mural of nature which were done by local artists, each painting unique to each room.
But it is in the little details that make this all the more special. The red, vintage telephones at the small table between the beds, the sleek minimalist desk with that hip overhead lamp. The black pictographs from top to bottom at one side of the wall, the beautiful modern woodwork that separate the wash area and the sleeping area. The list can go on and on.
And oh, those six yellow ceiling lighting as well as the bursts of color in the little things around the room make makes your stay here memorable.
